Luna of the night

Everest ran away from home, if you can even call it a home, when she was fifteen. She left at one in the morning with nothing but a duffel bag of clothes, two hundred dollars she painstakingly saved, and her little brother. They hitched a ride to New York City and haven't looked back. Except things aren't so easy for an underaged girl and her seven year old brother in the big city. So Everest gets the only job she can with when tragedy after tragedy strikes her and she is given no other choice. She becomes a lady of the night. I mean whatever gets food on the table right? She's had no control over her body for most of her life anyway, but at least this way she got to pick the Johns and Henry wouldn't go to bed hungry. A year later and things are finally looking up. That is until some freakishly attractive guy named Declan claims to be something called a mate?
