John Dorian spent the first 29 years of his life running from his past, his present and looking ahead only to his future. But when an old box of items is rediscovered while visiting with family, JD is forced to acknowledge all that he had repressed for so long. Including silly past squabbles, grief, family trauma and something else that he can't quite recall. A deeper and much darker part of him that, without the help of his mentor, brother and friends, would tear his life apart entirely.

This Shouldn't Work, But Here We Are
Okay, here's the deal: Each chapter in this story is inspired by a different flock member's suggestion. I asked them to come up with a genre and prompt without knowing what the previous chapters were like. The result? Pure chaos. The chapters can be read as standalone stories or as one big narrative, but with a hilariously unreliable narrator. If I manage to make this story flow smoothly, I deserve an award, honestly.
