The Princess is Gone -- A M&L:DT fan-prequel(?)

The princess of the Pi'illo Kingdom was going to have her sixteenth birthday in just two weeks! But she wasn't happy about it.

Princess Starglow had always gotten mixed feelings about being called a princess, or having to wear all of the pretty dresses that her parents picked out for her.
Becoming friends with a shy artist Pi'illo named Wishgiver, and forming stronger bonds with her runt bat friend named Antamii, Starglow had taken a liking to hiding out in the Somnom Woods.

It's only there where the royal highness realises what the problem is with her royal identity. And so it became time to help his own friends with theirs.
