The Overworld is complicated. Strange and beautiful creatures walk and converse with each other. They can only breathe air and call themselves "humans". Anastazja is not "human". She is a siren. A dangerous yet beautiful creature, portrayed as a femme fatale who lure nearby sailors with her enchanting music and voice to shipwreck on the rocky coast. To Anastazja the Overworld is fascinating, but forbidden to live in and to talk with the "humans". She is forever bound to her city, Ylocita, and her arranged marriage. With only two days left until her wedding she runs away with a gorgeous vampire who is being pursued by a viscous pirate, Captain Taylor.
