"Come sit." Jamie and Wolf had just showered and changed for the night when she led him over to their bed then patted the spot beside her.

Wolf just stared down at her, his lips now turned downwards at her serious tone but she held out her hand and tried to offer him some sort of comfort when he finally came and sat.

"I promised you the day I told you I loved you that I would protect you, didn't I?" Jamie criss crossed her legs up on the bed and held his hand tightly, placing it in her lap as she massaged his fingers. "And I will, okay? You just need to trust me that nothing is going to come hurt you while I still breathe."

"What's going on, James?"

"I didn't know how to tell you, but now my mom let me know that it's as serious as I thought... There's somebody out there who wants to hurt you. Somebody who just wants you ruined and destroyed but I'm not going to let that happen, okay?"
