"Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Draco stopped, closing his eyes for the briefest of moments. He thought of the scars on his left arm. He thought of the scars across his torso... Draco took a breath, keeping his head down, and decided to start over. "Forgive me, father, for I have sinned..." .... "I am God's Wrath," the distorted voice snarled, fury behind his slender frame, one that only looked menacing and gargantuan when seen in the perspective of a half-lucid and half-dead Draco Malfoy. ----- Who decides when people deserve forgiveness? What is true repentance? In which Draco Malfoy seeks forgiveness for his past via the church, but life has other plans for him. My story can also be found in Portuguese! In the aftermath of the Second Wizarding War, Draco Malfoy is haunted by the ghosts of his past. His mind, already fragile, begins to unravel as psychosis takes root. He hears voices, sees shadows, and feels the weight of guilt bearing down on him, pushing him into a state of self-destruction. Despite his pride, Draco's distress becomes impossible to hide, and Harry Potter-now a seasoned Auror-witnesses the toll it's taking on his former rival. Concerned for Draco's safety, Harry makes the agonizing decision to have him committed to St. Mungo's Mental Ward, despite the animosity that still lingers between them. The cold, sterile walls of the ward are both a sanctuary and a prison for Draco as he grapples with his fractured reality. As Harry visits him regularly, their relationship begins to shift-old wounds are reopened, and long-buried feelings come to the surface. The story explores themes of trauma, redemption, and the complicated nature of love in the face of mental illness. As Draco's psychosis deepens and his trust in Harry grows, they must both confront their pasts in order to heal-together or apart. Will Harry's care for Draco be enough to pull him back from the edge, or will the darkness inside Draco consume him before they can find peace?
