i am alive. [metanovel]

everyone is dead. everyone has been dead for the last eight years, leaving me, 20 year old athena matsuda, the last person alive.

it happened when i was 12. first my mom got pale and started hacking her lungs up. then she'd vomit and stay in bed with a fever. she died from the fever. that's how it happened with everyone. that's why i'm alone.

that's why i'm recording this message. in hopes that someone else will hear it one day and i'll finally know i wasn't alone.

the author of this novel, farah hakim, is a muslim stay-at-home mother of two daughters while her husband stays out of the house for work related reasons.

her husband is very religious and if he, or her children, ever saw the things she wrote in her alone time on this website, he'd shame her, tell her entire family, and they, alongside her two children that she adores, would disown her for the rest of her years.
