The year is 1973 and Penny is twenty-four years old and just graduated from college in New York and finally got out of an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Every summer, her best friend Nat goes with her boyfriend, Steve, to a secluded cabin by a large and peaceful lake for a whole week. And every year Nat invites her to come along but she refuses to be a third wheel. When she fears her abusive boyfriend will cause trouble, she finally takes Nat up on the deal.
Arriving to the cabin, she meets Steve's friend, Bucky, who also happens to be single. Penny struggles to open up about her past relationship, especially when she feels like her ex is stalking her.
What will happen between Penny and Bucky? And most importantly, what will happen once the vacation is over? Will Penny be safe when she returns to New York?
