He turned to once more look me in the eye, the edges of his irises hazing over with tints of red. "Then what exactly are yours?"

I made an undecipherable sound. "To live."

We're hidden among humans, walking alongside you, going to school and work with you, befriending your children, living normal, human lives.

Creatures, that some might call paranormal.

Bloodcrawlers, Casters, Elves, Descents... Lights. The list goes on and on. Eleven years ago, we were discovered and given the title of Underworlders. Since that day, The Council has been hunting for us as the world becomes barren of life, desolation taking over. Those of us who are caught are locked away in The Prison, experimented on, tortured, or forced to fight in The Bloodring for The Council's amusement.

Then Arc came along.

I don't know what he is, but because of him, I escaped the hell I was locked into for more than a decade of my life, coming to the realize the power I truly had.

I am the last of the Lights that were created to protect this realm, and if I die, this world dies with me. It's time for the rebellion to begin, for the Era of Antarsía to correct what has been done.

Little did I know how many secrets and realities were slowly manifesting, how many obstacles we would be forced to face, how many secrets were beginning to unravel...
