In the beginning, Elizabeth's life was like one of those horror movies you watch while peeking through your fingers-the kind with jump scares that makes your heart pound so hard it feels like it might explode! Her childhood was a wild rollercoaster ride of chaos. Imagine a house filled with shouting, broken bottles, and the stench of stale beer. Her father wasn't just a guy who drank a little too much; he was a whole tornado of anger and sadness, making life in their home feel like being stuck in a never-ending storm.
Even when Elizabeth tried to be brave, her past haunted her like a shadow that just wouldn't go away. Then, out of nowhere, Elizabeth meets Rafael-a totally unexpected light in her dark world! He was like the sun breaking through gloomy clouds, and even though they started to make this sweet connection, Elizabeth was still plagued by nightmares of her past. Flashbacks of terror would come crashing back when she least expected them, like that creepy old man in a movie that just jumps out when you think it's safe again. Plus, Rafael had his own mysterious baggage, wrapped up in secrets that made her heart race with both excitement and fear. Could he really be trusted? Was he hiding something dangerous? Elizabeth finally dares to track down her estranged mother, Vivian, hoping for a heartfelt reunion-only to find herself in a drama-filled showdown straight out of a soap opera. Old wounds were ripped open like a can of soda, spraying poison everywhere. Elizabeth had to face the truth about her dad, which felt like stepping into a lion's den. Their journey was a mix of heartache and hope, showing that love is not only a beautiful escape but also a fiery test of strength, pushing you to face the demons from your past. Would they come out stronger together, or would the darkness pull them apart forever? Only time would tell in this wild ride of a story!

Suddenly a loud bang had sounded as my father's office door slammed opened revealing a disheveled Edward. My eyes scanning him from head to toe as he was now breathing erratically. He looked like he just got out of bed with his bed hair, his clothes all wrinkled and only the two top bottom was undone. His belt was not even clasps and he only had one shoe on. "Edward." I gasps rising from my chair as he ran to me embracing me. "Are you okay? You're not hurt in any way are you?" His voice laced with worry. Sniffing him, he smelt of something sweet even from his messy attire. What has he been doing? I had wondered. "I came here as fast as I could once I heard the news." He pants, his eyes scanning my entire body, flipping me around as he also scans my back side. If it were any other day I would've gush at his concern. However that's the least of my worries after all I'm not the one who was targeted. My thoughts were soon replace by fury. Slowly pushing him away I wanted to yell at him, scold him for not being there. Maybe if he was there then this wouldn't have happened. "Where were you?" Instead I had asked calmly. No point in getting angry. I already have a lot on my plate. "I was...uh..busy." He was busy? What can he possibly be doing that required his attention elsewhere. ***** All she wanted was to live her life peacefully but certain things occur and she realize along the way she is not like any other girls out there. She is something more.

I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. I dreamed of a life filled with laughter, joy, and success, a life we built together. I dreamed of growing old next to my husband, creating a great love story to tell our grandchildren someday. It all seemed so possible. I was raised to be the perfect wife, after all. From the outside, it seemed I had exactly what I dreamed of with the rich, determined husband; the brilliant, gaudy diamond ring; and the beautiful home filled with the hope of future children. Yes, it was all a dream come true. I should have felt grateful, really. The problem is, I also wanted a marriage based on love, passion, and affection, but those are the only things my husband cannot give me . . . . . . because they're reserved for her. It takes a lot of courage to publish your work and for others to actively engage in a community. I'd like to keep this a safe and fun place to rage at imperfect heroes and cheer for darling heroines! * I'm not a spicy writer. I rather use my word count for plot, character development, and GROVEL!!! * Most importantly, I hope you enjoy the little world I'm creating. Happy reading, everyone! ADS/Imaginationgirl35
