Brought together by mysterious circumstances, a widow named Charlotte Thatcher and a teen named Miya fight to uncover the truth. Charlotte Thatcher had been happy, until her husband and daughter died. Miya was a regular 12 year old who struggled in her fight for independence from her over-protective father. Now they are deep in a mystery that all goes down to the terrorists behind the gruesome 9/11 attack on the twin towers.

We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this? She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one).
