"I'm going to fix this," He promised, his eyes locked on Tommy's body as he pulled his hand away.

Karl pulled the Similarity from his pocket, and flicked the switch on the back. For a moment, he felt the very fabric of the universe beneath his fingertips. He spun the dials and took a deep breath, looking at Tommy one last time. His finger hovered over the trigger.

"I'm going to fix everything."

Karl took a breath, and he was gone.
