George is something of a monster. He's almost completely human, other than the fact that he can't touch sunlight and is confined to the shadows of the empty space under the bed. His best friend, Clay, has known him since they were six. Now, as their friendship grows stronger, Clay is searching for a way to bring his best friend out of the shadows and into the real world, despite all the perils that lie there, waiting for George.
