Wildfire Lies

Edward Cullen saved me from himself once apon a time.

I know this now. The way it hurt will never leave me, but as I've grown older, I understand it. It was what he felt would keep me safe, although many times I've had a brush with death, I've survived this long. It's not like they're the only vampires I've come across. I don't think he ever took into account that the Cullen's weren't the only cold ones I would encounter.

As I get older, I find peace in life, Charley is safe with his new wife. Jacob and I are on good terms even from afar, and I haven't had nightmares, as I once did as a teenager, in many years. But I will always have a hole in my heart that they left. The pieces are still missing.

My first book is officially on the shelves, and for the first time in years, I see them again, in New York City right after my 26th birthday. As I leave the city behind that same evening, they follow ready to finally talk to me.

There are new Cullen's. Relationships are on the mend after falling apart, and it's hard to accept what they've already adjusted to.

Finding myself falling for a Cullen once again throws my life into a spiral, and not even one Edward and Alice see coming.
