Katelen suffers from depression and has been sent to a "special" school with her best friend, Martin, because of the things they've seen. Persephone was sent off to a boarding school and left to endure the boredom with only her best friend, T, and philosophy to get her through it. This unusual pairing of girls meet in odd circumstances and seperate only to meet again at Hogwarts with new found knowledge of magic in their blood.
