The Unauthorized Bible

I want my kids to learn and love the Bible, but it is not such an easy task. Forcing them to read the Bible is never very productive. Many of the passages are confusing and contrary to things they may be learning in science classes at school.

The purpose of this book is to tell the story of the Bible in a way that will keep the interest of new Bible readers of any age. I have taken many poetic liberties and included my own interpretations of the passages in an attempt to reconcile science with scripture.

Some readers may find my version to be "unbiblical" but this book is not meant to be a substitute for the Bible. I call it the "Unauthorized Bible" so that no one will mistake it for the actual bible.

My hope is that the reader will be inspired to read the original source and turn to the versions that are widely accepted as inspired scripture.
