Cyberlife has opened a testing program for willing participants to sign up for. They called it the "YK-31 program"- in which those who signed the agreement papers would be operated on to see how compatible they would be with cyborg replacements, and one woman decided she would agree to the procedure.
Y/n Valor, a 26 year old detective at the DPD, has been trying to cope with the aftermath of a traumatic family incident having taken place sixteen years ago. With intrusive thoughts clouding every hour she spends alone, she decided to deal her cards on Cyberlife when approached by an android advertising the treatment. A week later, she's admitted into the operating room, and nearly 22 hours afterward, she comes out as the only successful test subject to ever come from the YK-31 program, changing all left sides of her face, arm, and nearly half of her entire torso.
Back in society, Y/n finds it hard to keep her feet planted in her decision as coworkers and strangers alike disgrace her for becoming cyborg. Soon she will find out how much her new upgrade will aid her in a joined-case she takes on with Hank Anderson and Connor, the android sent by Cyberlife.
