The story talks about Olivia, a normal teenager with her best friend Estella, usually called Star, they are both Canadian and have usual parents, the abused mother who abused and manipulated her kids and the father who is drunk most of time. Exams are coming up and so is her birthday. She cannot deal with her parents and is impatiently waiting for her birthday to call the police.
Will she be able to punish her abusive mother and her ignorant father?
