This novel is set between Episodes 3 and 4.

It has been 71 days since the issuance of the infamous "Order 66".

The Empire is on the hunt for the remaining Jedi and any sign of force sensitivity is immediately reported to the authorities for seizure.

Fear and hopelessness are far and wide.

Recently, there have been whispers of strange happenings on Tatooine. There are talks of a mysterious figure, an Outsider that is followed by unusual occurrences that leave effects similar to the powers of a force user. 

Dispatched with the task to search and destroy, the Special Commando Advanced Recon Troopers, also known as SCAR troopers has arrived on the planet to investigate.

Or follow the Jedi Code? Valerie is of course going to follow her orders and suppress these new feelings. But things change when Order 66 is called and the Jedi is forced on the run and doesn't know who to trust or if she can trust anyone ever again. With no one to turn to, scared, and alone, Valerie makes a choice to put her all of her trust in the force and reach out to anyone who might hear her plea, and someone does answer back.
