The Kingdom of Ilyaa was among twelve that were formed after a calamity struck the Earth as heavenly punishment for corrupt leaders taking power. The world had suffered forcefully before man did what man does best after destruction - rebuild.

A dozen soldiers gathered under the first clear night sky of forty years, clad in armor and blood, and took an oath to start anew. They will lead newborn kingdoms, rebuild their palaces, abstain from disorder, and enforce righteousness during their reign for centuries to come. 

"By the will of who created us and this world," The leader, Admiral Bayazid, said while forging a contract made of desert stone. The men huddled together while bright light kindled the sand beneath their feet. "May there only be peace for the next thousand years." 

And truth be told, the prayer was granted. 

One thousand years of peace ensued...until Teyaher Ilyaa - Bayazid's far descendent - was born.
