She obeyed Octavio even without the shades and even though he demeaned her as it was the same thing Marie did while they did the news, soon enough she grew tired and tried to leave agian but was put under the control of the shades for the first time. They wiped her brain of everything other than "Sing, obey, forget," she wore them often around Octavio and the rest of the Octarians, eventually even not in public she wore them.
