Humans Hunted dragons it was a bloodbath and there was a curtain type of dragons that were so weak by the events of the scorching there were only 46 left. They decided to go into the caves therefore they nicknamed themselves the"cavewings" and after 500 years of waiting and growing their tribe finally they could come out...

Vein has been taught his whole life on how to "kill first, ask later" at his school. His fighting camp was dark, dreary and blood-looking, and it was no surprise that Vein wanted to escape. Sure, he liked his family---but when a nasty incident over his older sister's death occurred, he has to flee the only camp he knows. Soon he takes refugee with TimeWings. But after another accidental disaster, Vein doesn't think the TimeWings trust him. One TimeWing hates him so much, that she wishes to use her magic on him. At least, that's what Vein thinks. Imprisonment by TimeWings is embarrassing enough, but becoming friends with one was more than crazy. But as the TimeWing that hates him grows meaner and meaner, Vein knows she has to be stopped . . . before the Island of Grinnen is destroyed under her talons. Looking out over the cliff, he saw the source, like a blinding flame that was thousands of times more powerful than any spark. It was round and it rested in the sky far above him, illuminating the ground below. It was strange in more ways than that. Since it seemed as if the sky itself was broken. The whiteness that had completely covered it before had moved. Revealing a bright endless blue behind. There were still patches of that whiteness far above, but they seemed fluffy now, no longer a blanket of dread covering the world. They were all different shapes and sizes, but they had none of the previously uniform aesthetic. The sky was turning bright colors as he watched, reds and oranges, reflecting off those white things into pinks and purples as well, it was the most wonderful thing that Uhar had ever seen, colors he'd never even imagined were in that sky. He watched the world in awe, feeling his ears rise with excitement. If this was the world his ancestors had left behind, he couldn't imagine why they'd ever wanted to leave.Complete

Dragon aging is different in this series- ages up to 8 are dragonet, 9 to 12 is teenager, 12 to 20 is young adult, 20+ is adult. This excuses any questions about aging. It had been eleven years since Crab had died. And Jellyfish missed him. Her brother was the only reason she was alive, and it felt as though it was her fault that he was dead. Life was awful now. Every dragon had a target on their back, and going up to the surface was quite a dangerous task. The remaining dragons of Pyrrhia have waged war on each other, each believing that they had the right solution to fix everything. But in Jellyfish's eyes, it was all so, so wrong. But as bad as it is, Jellyfish has a mostly normal teenage life. Friends to hang out and laugh with, school to keep her occupied, and the constant desire to love and go to parties. It really couldn't get worse, right? It did, though. Danger and hatred swoop in on two wings into Jellyfish's life, and it will never, ever be the same. Plus a really creepy prophecy. We love those.
