Living as a rather nontraditional American housewife in a traditional white picket fence home in traditional America, Bonnie Wayne was eager for adventure.She longed for thrill, to do something daring and unheard of. It wasn't until she received news of her husband's passing in the war that Bonnie "Bee" Wayne packed her bags and boarded the next airliner overseas to the American base in Norfolk along with twelve other women to become one of the most iconic figures of WWII...A USO girl. With bravo company swooning over her unique looks, a strict schedule, the loss of her husband and not to mention a war happening around her until her return six years later due to illness, Bonnie tells her story. The story of one of the biggest bombshells in the history of camp Norfolk.

The two who are still so young and innocent are forced to open their eyes to a cruel reality of their devastating world.
