Blair Madlock was taken by Hydra at the age of 17 in 1957, for the next 6 years she would be put through hell. Dealing with super soldier serum and serum holding powers of blood bending being pumped into her body each day, extreme hand-to-hand combat, being laughed at for feeling weak, being beaten until she was screaming, being forced to kill innocent people, men and woman, having her brain wiped every time she brings up her past, being locked in a cell until she had to train, etc. It was far from over and she felt like slipping away each day but someone is keeping her here. Keeping her hope alive. That someone is The Winter Soldier.
Bucky Barnes hated who he was. He didn't even know who he was. Blurry memories flashed in his head as he stood in front of a lab room, guarding it. He could hear a woman's screams in the other room, he knew what was happening to her. The door opened and two males walk out carrying a fragile looking girl by her arms, her feet and legs dragging on the floor. She could barely keep her head up but he still got a glance at her face. She was beautiful, under all the blood, bruises, and tears on her face she had pale skin that looked soft, long beautiful brown hair, her lips were full and her eye lashes were long. He found himself looking for her the next day only to realize she was in the cell next to his.
What will happened to Blair? Will she survive? Will she ever be the same?

Not everything Hydra did had a specific purpose. Sometimes they tortured people and ruined lives just because they could. The kidnapping of Joana Kegley served no greater purpose than to help break in their newest experiment. Before her boyfriend went to war, Joana was a simple girl who helped her elderly grandmother run a clothing store. After her boyfriend went to war, she became something of a small town hero. A woman came to her personally to tell her that her boyfriend, Bucky Barnes, and her best friend, Steve Rogers, had both died bringing down Hydra. It wasn't long after that when she was plucked off the street like some stray cat and chained to a chair like a dog on a leash, where she learned that Bucky had endured something worse than death and that she was there to help them break him. Nothing she did could stop the turn of events that took place as the years rolled by. She hardly noticed that neither one of them aged. It wasn't until Hydra fell and she was still locked away, somewhere in the deep pits of some underground facility, that she realized how much the world had changed. Bucky Barnes remembered very little outside his own name, but he remembered a girl. He remembered a girl with a voice of reason, who spoke only the truth to him, who wanted nothing more than to keep him safe from himself.
