No coffins, no capes, no dramatic "blah blah blah" accents. Vampires evolved. They feed on emotions now, not blood, which sounds easier... until you realise human emotions are even messier than their arteries.

Seonghwa was just trying to get through his boring graveyard shifts at a convenience store, dealing with drunk customers, insomniacs, and the occasional demon trying to burn the place down. Normal vampire problems.

Then he showed up: Hongjoong, Demon King of the Underworld. Arrogant, dramatic, annoyingly handsome; and for some reason, convinced Seonghwa is supposed to be his wife.

He does not want marriage. Not with him. Not with anyone. But the more time he spends around Hongjoong, the harder it is to ignore the truth... that he actually wants him there.

The issue? The secret Seonghwa has been burying for centuries is starting to claw its way back to the surface. And if it comes out, it will not just ruin him. It might ruin them both.
