He is infatuated with with Princess Alfhild of The Vik, in Thule (Norway) and brags he will attack the Danes of Zealand to impress her.  When he goes to Denmark he falls in love with the sister of King Frodi, Princess Gunwar, and he turns his back on his father and his Nor'Way trade route and helps the Danes build a new Dan'Way trade route to Baghdad and Constantinople to win the love of his new king's sister.All Rights Reserved

There are other conflicting accounts of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons and I have attempted to include those viewpoints as well when they can be worked into Saxo's historical timeline, but this Book 1 of my 'The Varangian' series will be attempting to show how Saxo blended fiction and true history in his Nine Books.
