Erik 'Bragi', the son of Ragnar Lothbrok, has the help of a dwarf from Giantland in forging a sword called Tyrfingr from a meteorite fragment. He is infatuated with with Princess Alfhild of The Vik, in Thule (Norway) and brags he will attack the Danes of Zealand to impress her. When he goes to Denmark he falls in love with the sister of King Frodi, Princess Gunwar, and he turns his back on his father and his Nor'Way trade route and helps the Danes build a new Dan'Way trade route to Baghdad and Constantinople to win the love of his new king's sister.
