I grabbed my wolfsbane kit from one of my shelves and got to work cleaning the wound. The sparks that flew up my hands as I tried to flush the wound made concentrating difficult. This seemed to amuse Kai, who took the opportunity to shove his nose into the crook of my neck, breathing in deeply. He remained there as I tried desperately to continue my job without my wolf and the mate-bond pushing me to jump on him. The sexual tension circling in the air between us was undeniable. He must have felt it bad too, because he started laying open-mouthed kisses over my collarbone. I jumped back in shock, feeling flustered by the contact.
