The start of summer of 1986. Hottest summer ever recorded in NJ. Surfboard in hand. 1975 Volkswagen Van parked down the street. My friends at my side. Living our best life. There's a new surfer boy in town too. He moved in down the street from me. He's pretty cool. Like really cool. And handsome as hell. He changed my whole perspective on life.
