A year has gone by since GGO. It's hard for everyone to realize that is was that long ago. With their adventures together in ALO occurring almost everyday, It's like they never left the beloved land of virtual reality. Kirito, Asuna, and the rest of the gang take up quests, settle old debts, party both in real life and in the virtual world, and make their time together something to remember. All goes well for a long while, until Liz hears a rumor about an up coming event that could change ALO forever.

Set one year after season 2 of Sword Art Online. (I apologize in advance if I spoil anything. I will make references here and there, so please be cautious if you have not watched both season 1 and 2)

This is a retelling of the "Fairy Dance Arc" from "Sword Art Online." Since the "Sword Art Online Progressive" movie is dropping this year, I thought it was perfect timing to write my own version of this arc with my own twist on it. The story focuses on Kirito waking up after beating the death game of "Sword Art Online" and learning that Asuna isn't awake, yet. Not being able to handle the guilt, he loses all of the swagger and confidence that he once had in the original game. Kirito learns that Asuna is in a different VR world and with the help of his friends and sister, he must save Asuna from a threat unlike anything that he faced in the original "Sword Art Online." This story is going to be a much darker and bloodier adaptation of the source material. I hope you all enjoy it and as always, thank you for reading! When they reach her, they expect her to be awake and send a sarcastic remark for not knocking, but instead, she is still unconscious and shows no signs of waking up soon. Then, Kirito gets an email from Agil with a picture, and in it was of a girl with snow white hair and icy blue eyes and wings made of crystal. Kirito tells Asuna to wait for him, that he'll save Ume, and return.
