This is a story I came up with after a dream I had back in 8th grade. I remember even buying a pocket-sized notebook to write it all down chapter by chapter just to share it with my friends who made a habit of switching notebooks full of stories we would write, and we each would read each other's and give some commentary on it. I walk towards the lake noticing that the ducks that used to be there were long gone. I must have scared them.
