One to lead
One to teach
One to love
And one to Blank.
A little song about four brothers, the rulers of the Seraphimes kingdom. The oldest brother is bound to become the future king, the second son is meant to advise the emperor, the third is as beautiful as a flower, who will, unfortunately, be married off for political reasons, and the fourth one...completely useless. That's what they all like to believe about me. That's I am good for nothing, that's how I know that the path to power is open to me. No one sees me as dangerous, powerful, smart or even competent, no one will understand me, and no one will suspect me. However the more I lived the more convinced I was that the only way to yield true power is to fall into the depths of darkness.
When all four brothers are invited to attend an annual Beltane ball Zerot sees this as a waste of time, but the compelling pull of power makes the young prince rethink his rejection. The enchanting ball is full of intricate power bonds and cryptic secrets. No one suspected that this ball is just a cover to help the emperor's son find a lover. When Zero finds himself surrounded by the attention of both emperors, he is tempted to get lost in temptation just to go with the flow, but as always all is ravaged by frightening attacks and threats of war. Zerot is stuck between a choice between two empires, and while the callous, rude and cocky ruler of the rival empire is not the biggest allure, Zerot was never captivated by the good side, contrary he always loved the feeling of power. And the cold emperor might just give it to him.
"The ball was not the biggest riddle, it was never the real danger. I was."
"I thought you said he was not one of us. that he has no streak of darkness or power?"
"It seems I was incredibly wrong. I said, but I could not take my eyes off the man named Zerot, with blood on his hands, walking like he owned the world. at that moment I would give him it, just to see how power would play in his eyes."
