The Missing Link
A Poem written by: Nathan Artificio (_mrparislover)

Imagining myself in a flock,
in a midst of a continuously ticking clock;
People are sparkling like crystals,
I wondered how beautiful they were as porcelain dolls.

But as I looked over myself,
A dull existence and pain in my heart does felt.
That's what I really am;
when no one's laying their eyes upon me.

Can I ever let my mask out?
And let my inner being be freed with no doubt;
May no one stop my hunger,
For my soul wants happiness for supper.

Let my skin conquer the spotlight,
as I let my head held up high.
Proud and dauntless;
as I look over the world is priceless.

As my eyes gazed upon the mankind,
will I ever feel the content as theirs?
Or myself still be hid in a world full of darkness?
For being happy is all my heart cares.

I've been through a lot;
will my sufferings finally suffice?
As I let my life search for what it finds;
Hereafter, could my life's missing link be far behind?
