RF heating is particularly effective in drying polymers and water. The material's polar structure allows it to be heated quickly. Water, for example, has a high receptivity to radio frequency. Similarly, polymers are relatively low loss factors, but take longer to dry. The resulting heat is also more uniform throughout the material.
