In the future, science has found a way to re-animate the dead and make them pliant servants for the wealthy. They buy the units for 10,000 for a base model. More attractive units sell higher as well as the more physically fit the model is the higher the price. The units are used for anything and everything their owner wants, from household work to administrative duties, to even being sexual companions. They are each programmed with a hard drive in their brain that works like a computer and allows them to have a quick mind and agility, as well as nano machines in their body to repair any damage that can occur with normal usage. There are some people who still view the units as a dead body and have trouble interacting with them in their daily life. But most of the population is too poor to even afford one so this problem is left to the upper classes that can buy the units. For some, poverty is worse than death. For one Porcelyn, death is just the start.

White was given to an organization right after she was born, she was a mutant of her own kind, she was known as 72. Growing up from that place until she was five, she never knew anything else except for avoid the needles, avoid the people in white coats and to stay strong. The day she turned five though, was the day everything changed. One kind guard set her free, she felt like a bird, she felt like she could fly and soar through the sky, to forget everything that happened in her past. She did for a while, but of course everything caught up to her. A year passed and White still remembered everything. From the smallest detail of the day. She was only six, on that day, exactly a year after she was able to escape from the Border, the only person that cared for her was killed, she was caught. She was back in bars, and the words that the guard told her still echoed in her mind. "Stay safe, stay alive," her life rules. And the years fly by, and still nothing happened. She was still trapped, caught, tamed. Caught in the act.... Tamed to fight.... Freed from her cage....

You know what? No one wants to admit it, but we're all running out of room. People are blind. We're too many. Every year, more of us pile onto this rotting planet. Bodies, faces, minds pushing, shoving, breathing, eating, consuming. But what are we really? Resources. And guess what? Resources expire. We can't just keep packing in more and more. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.
