Vanessa seemed like your typical kook. Rich family , big house, designer clothes. JJ seemed like your typical Pogue. Deadbeat dad, trouble with the law, hating kooks. But they were more similar than they thought.

They've been best friends ever since they were little despite the categories they fall into. Vanessa or Ness as he called her, seemed to be his only exception to his 'hating all kooks' rule. But that might not be the only rule he breaks when he slowly starts to realise his feelings for her may extend past friendship.
