An Unlikely Trip
This book is about a person hailing from Bangalore, India who is sincere, easy-going and hard-working leading a life of dignity and humility. He frequently blogs on his self-maintained blog writing about technology, posting tutorials that help the Engineering community and posts other science related topics. He gets an opportunity to move to Silicon Valley in the United States due to his reputation within his company, to work with one of their clients who are one of the giants in the software and technology industry. He always aims to do something that is impactful which can touch as many in the community as possible. In that pursuit he does something that is unexpected, influenced by events in his own life and ends up having a lasting impact on it and surprises even himself. It turns out, he becomes the only Indian national to achieve such a rare feat. DEDICATION This book is dedicated to all those people who move to the United States to live their Engineering American dreams. The rain's comfort
Beep beep beep... "Where am I? Am I really dead? is my life really over! What happened to me?" I began sobbing uncontrollably, why did this have to happen to me? Beep beep beep "Jade..." a faint cracked voice spoke out. "I'm so sorry... I couldn't protect you." Austin... that's Austin speaking to me. Save me Austin [ I wrote this FOREVER ago, I just thought I should say it's really..... challenging. There is a lot of self esteem issues and issues regarding mental health. I was in a very dark place when I was writing this- I just thought I should warn potential readers. I've also changed my writing tremendously! I do not write like this anymore. I think it's safe to say I rushed through the storyline and didn't develop my characters as wisely as I wish I did. And to that I apologize. The only reason I have not deleted this story is because this is just another demonstration of my past and a ledge from which I've jumped from to a higher level of thinking. You are brave and stubbed, get into trouble a lot with disobeying rules over and over again you had trauma trying to get free from the sky people and dont like to talk about your mum as when you was younger you dont know who your mum is. Your step mum is a water Avatar like your brother as he is a Water Avatar, and you had to travel away from the forest to lay low with the sky people on your Dad's tail to kill them as Jake and Your dad was Sky people both now Na'vi people, Neteyam is older by a year and you two have been inseparable growing up but when you left to go you and Neteyam grew more cold but you had a huge crush on him for years but thought it would of never when anywhere though not knowing that he felt the same way. You still have a ikran but can't fly as you are supposed to learn the ways of the Metakyina but you still fly and go to the forest rarely, your sister is Tisreya and brothers with Aonung and have learned how to swim and have been informed by family that the Sully's are coming to where you are to get away from the sky people like you and your dad did years ago, you are excited but also scared to see everyone but also Neteyam as you wonder what he looks like now after all this time. (Neteyam is 18, Y/n is 17, Lo'ak is 16, Ilran is 16, Kiri is 17, Aonung is 18, Tuk is 7, Tisreya is 17) Through the right of a young warrior having to have a mate at a certain age through traditions, Neteyam is at the age where he is needing to find a mate. (I have made up some bits but the rest its all the same but some bits changed!)Complete
Weigh Out Way-In
There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story.
