My name is Valerie Munson. But around here, that's not a name you flaunt. In Hawkins, Indiana, the Munson reputation is far from pristine. You see, my older brother-well, half-brother, but who's counting bloodlines when you're family-Eddie, isn't just dead, he's been darkly accused of murdering three Hawkins High teenagers. But one thing I know is Eddie was no murderer. He couldn't even swat a fly without wincing. So, why target Eddie? Simple. He was a Munson and the town's infamous freak. My mission was clear: to clear his name because letting him go down as a murderer wasn't an option. It seemed straightforward-until I found his notebook labeled 'Flight of Icarus.' Eddie always loved the dramatic. Tucked in the back of that notebook was a note that changed everything. Suddenly, I'm not just fighting to clear my brother's name; I'm unraveling a deeper mystery that suggests there's much more to Hawkins than meets the eye. And then there was that phone call-from Eddie. That confirmed my suspicions: something sinister is threading through this town, and I'm right in the middle of it.
