As I was gathering the pieces of the mascot costume, I noticed that someone was right behind me watching. I turned around to face the person and it was one of the basketball players, the number fourteen on his jersey. My eyes widened. "I didn't know the mascot was a girl," He began, his gaze blazing into me. "Or pretty." My cheeks flushed scarlet. __________ Cambria Mayes Bri, as what the people closest to her calls, prefers to blend in the crowd. She's a shy, but sarcastic girl. So when she gets roped into being the school mascot for a night, she never thought that she would capture the attention of the school's golden boy. Devaun Dyer-Rubes Dev is one of the basketball players. He's a well-known and a pretty nice guy making him the golden boy of Stonewall High. Walking to the locker room, he didn't expect a girl coming out of the school's mascot costume. And at first sight, he was quite enamored.

The Rules

I have three basic rules to live by Don't draw attention to myself. Make it through another year. My brother's friends are off limits. With her brother being the big man on campus, it's easier to do then you would think. No one thinks twice about the quiet, shy girl hanging around the football god. Blaine was thankful, until her friend drags her to a party in an attempt to expand her social life. Now, Blaine is juggling the pieces of her life she wanted nothing to do with.
