Splinter was April's, he and the borthers was the reason why she became really close to the O'Neils, they felt like family. But after that night she couldn't look at any of them, handed the brothers to her friend, her heart darkens with guilt. Her father did this, he killed Dr O'Neil, he destroyed her life.
