"There is something I want you to know about you and me; In silence or with words... I want you. Words are meant to bring us together, but if that's not what you want so can silence. Regardless of any form of communication I want you. Only you"

-

Words bring people together, but what if that's not the case?

Blane, a born deaf pianist, hates the thought of his voice. He hates the thought of sounding stupid, not having a what people would consider a "normal" voice.
So he makes a decision not to use words ever again and uses art as his form of expression instead.

Aleera, pickpocketed in one of the crowded streets of London, is almost left stranded in the rain... if it wasn't for Blane. From the moment she first saw him she was determined to see him again. But just when she gave up and stopped looking, he found her instead. In a crowded little bookstore, front page of the newspaper.

After an accident in eighth grade, Louisa Kelley was blind. Every day was a struggle for her as she tried to adjust to life both at school and at home, but life got easier with practice. As soon as Louisa entered high school, things had changed for the worse. The students around her bullied her because she was different, harassing her, stealing her things, and talking about her behind her back, making an already difficult life so much harder. Now in her junior year of high school, Louisa is broken and without anyone to call a friend. She eventually decides to remove herself from the bullies that surround her daily and be home schooled. That is, until she met Alex. Alex Mirren was born deaf, but when he was six years old, he received a cochlea implant that allowed him to hear. Even after the ten years of speech therapy where he had to teach himself how to hear, Alex prefers to stay in the silence and only communicates with the world when necessary. Life seemed dull to him as he was stuck in between two worlds of silence and noise, not knowing his purpose or place in society. That is, until he saw a girl with a walking stick in the hallways. Louisa and Alex weren't made for each other. Although the very presence of each other gives them new hope and strength, things are difficult as Louisa thrives by using her hearing, while Alex shies away from sound and uses sight. Without being able to communicate easily, they must learn to overcome the barrier of the silence between them, which is easier said than done. But aren't the struggles worth it to be with that one person that means everything?

Few of the scenes that are part of this story is an inspiration from our group video project, thanks to my group leaders who made it😏😏 A deaf-mute girl named Anne Castella grew up in poverty with her crazy mother and an alcoholic father. The abuse that she received from her childhood made her feel anti-social and traumatized, which affected her self-esteem too. Until she transferred to an international school and gained friends, there she already met 4 people named Justin, Audrey, Gabrielle, and Fredrick. She found hope in the midst of loss after she met her beloved friends. Each of them have their own scars in their heart and each one holds a lifetime's worth of lessons. But in the end, their friendship has gotten much stronger after facing their own challenges, they decided to stick up for one another. It shows their growth, hope, and healing.
