The redhead smirks, glancing out of me from the corner of his eye as his shoulder squished into mine.

I hum in question. Paying more attention to the sway and yelling of the crowd I found myself in than him.

I throw a smirk his way and shove the sign I held higher hoping it would get seen by more people who were watching the protest. All of which who were wearing an array of expressions from joy, anger, and fear.

I shrug and give wink at him. Darting my tongue out to wet my lips. The smell of the crowd with so many pulses had my gums throbbing.

I raised my eyebrows, glancing up at my sign that I'm sure the humans thought funny.
