Rose and Melody are not the ordinary people they seem to be. Haunted by an hourglass since childhood that takes people away, the two sisters decide normal lives are not for them. They work for the Prime Minister in a secret base underneath the Opera House, protecting the world from the strange unknown. 

One day as a rift appears in the sky, meddling with time itself, the two girls are convinced it is connected to the hourglass which suddenly becomes active. They take a risk and find themselves in a welsh kingdom in the sixteenth century. The people they trust are against them and they become an enemy of the crown. At the same time, Melody learns secrets of her past that she wishes would have remained a secret.
