Moksha Narayana Bali Puja is performed to remove Pancha Maha Patakas ( Five Deadly Sins). Moksha Narayana Nagbali Puja is described in the Garuda Purana as a ritual to be performed in the event of an unnatural death taking place in the family. Unnatural death means getting drowned in water, getting burnt to death, dying of ill health all of a sudden, or succumbing to snakebite. Moksha Narayana Puja can be performed if any member of the family could not conduct Shraddha Karma and other rituals as per the Hindu traditions and practice.
