Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. (WARNING: MATURE. This is an an on-going horror anthology series that is collection of stories all taking place within the same despair-ridden world: a world in which society collapsed long ago and monsters aren't just the stuff of nightmares, but a thing of reality. Each story is written by one of three authors who share creative control of the world: Eli, Liz, and Dean. The stories similarly take place in different locations across different times. The time period, setting, and author will be disclosed at the start of each story. These stories are off-shoots meant to expand the lore for a pre-existing RP between the three authors, some of which being backstories for characters within it and other stories being events that were not seen in the RP itself. Some additional stories are written/being written to clarify what would be confusing without the existing context, but certain chapters will inevitably be confusing without it, so apologies for that. This is just meant to be a place where we can order the stories chronologically and put them somewhere for fun.

No one loves fiction stories quite as much as Remi, but sometimes tales in books are made out to seem much better than they actually are. When a party is disrupted by a zombie outbreak Remi can barely believe it and all too soon she has to go from a lazy, awkward teenager to a killer. Everything around her begins to change and what once was supposed to be a great adventure turns into a tale of drama, love, and betrayal. Everyone she is fighting for aren't the same people they once were and Remi is changing too, but is it for better or for worse? Her little group try to survive but as time goes on Remi begins to believe that if the apocalypse doesn't end soon she will die and quickly learns that trusting the wrong people could be fatal.Concluida

We all were hiding in random places, apparently any place we could find. There were a ton of zombies, the whole place was full of them. Many people from our group were lost to the virus. Muffled voices, blurred vision and heavy breathes were heard. The ship which everyone had longed for soon arrived. The plan was to run to the ship and never look back. The ferry was anchored at the harbor and on the signal, everyone ran for their precious lives, not daring to look back. Some people couldn't make it in 'The End' . The ones who survived were the last of us. Will the people make it in time? What hardships will they encounter along the way? A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent?
