Ray woke up confused at herself and the world around her. A base camp was the last place she expected to be. Unsure of her surroundings, she learns to adapt to them quickly. After all, it was the only place left for her to go.

While Ray shovels for parts each day, there is someone living their life in a different way. Meet Joe Burns, a guy with you guessed it, has burns. Burns that he hides out of shame. Unlike Ray, he knows more about the world, but not by much. Joe knows how things work, but only through the camp. However, he denies this base camp life completely. And instead of accepting his role, he runs away from his stationed base, and the rest of his problems.
