Every mission felt like another chance he wouldn't come back. But while I worried about him, something began happening to me: the voices, the visions, the emotions I didn't understand, especially when it came to that blue-masked turtle. They exchanged short 'good nights' before they went off to their own rooms, not paying any mind to the orange dust that covered them. That night, all five of the mutants fell into a deep sleep, their bodies slowly transforming. Their shells disappearing. Their green skin becoming pink. Their three fingered hands changing to human hands.
