The universe holds secrets that were never meant for human eyes. They are whispered in the wind, etched upon the fabric of the cosmos, hidden in the depths of ancient stars. These secrets are not for the faint of heart, nor for those who seek comfort in the familiar. They are for the brave souls who dare to gaze into the abyss and confront the things that lurk in the shadows beyond human comprehension. This is the tale of one such man, a traveler who ventured beyond the bounds of known reality, and in doing so, witnessed the unfathomable horrors that predate even the dawn of mankind. He returned with tales of terror, of ancient entities older than time itself, of whispers that echo in the silence of space, and of the chilling realization that humanity may be just a fleeting blip in a cosmic dance of unimaginable terror. Prepare to delve into the depths of the unknown, into the chilling secrets that lie hidden amidst the stars. This is a story that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about the universe and your place within it. This is the story of the man who saw too much, and the terrifying truths he brought back with him. [Attention: Story Rewrite] This story, while drawing inspiration from the original, has been substantially reworked and expanded upon. The themes, plot points, and characters have been carefully re-evaluated, and the narrative has been rewritten with a fresh perspective. This rewrite aims to provide a more nuanced and engaging reading experience for the audience.

The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.

The darkness of the past catches up to the present and looms over the future. The now-grown undead god meets someone from his past for the last time in his infinite life. An ancient artifact that unlocks a hidden ability comes into his possession and will stay with him throughout his infinite life. Excerpts: Hearing that title broke him from his mental preoccupation. _Oh, no. Not her. Not with these people._ Glancing around the table, he saw that everyone was looking at him, overtly and covertly, watching and waiting for his reaction. ... The young god stood up in excitement. _It just talked to me! I'm talking to it! This is so weird. What else can I ask it?_ ... _What should I say? I should say something, right?_ "Umm... Hi!" he managed to say. He stopped himself from wincing at his awkward greeting as he felt every eye in the room on him and maintained a casual and relaxed facade. _'Hi'? Really? After not seeing her for so long, all you can say is 'Hi!'? Say something else._ "I came here to see you." _No, idiot. Say something less obvious._ "And, uhh, talk to you." _What's wrong with you, self?_ ... "I don't know. I don't really know what to do anymore. I've done terrible things to him but I don't know anymore if I did the right thing."
