aster is a small, quiet second year at the institute of mystics who enjoys sketching and all things creative. all he wants in life is to create art. however, contrary to what he wants, his life has already been planned out before he was even born. he must take on the duties as the high, almighty celestial one, outranking all other celestial beings.

ren is a loud, social third year at the institute of mystics who is trying to get through his last year of school with passing grades and a greater understanding of the many races. much like aster, this alien prince also has his own higher duties to one day fulfill, but instead of being so absorbed in his studies like aster, he's a lot more focused in living a care free life before going onto fulfill his duties.

the institute of mystics is the one school where anyone of any race or background can study, but there is one thing that ties nearly all beings of the universe together, their soulmate tattoos.

in just two weeks, when ren turns 18 in human years, he's going to receive his soulmate tattoo to meet his perfect match. but, there's one problem. his soulmate is the only type of being that does not receive a soulmate tattoo. and, that being is not his boyfriend.
