Her black hair blew in the wind as she took a few steps forward on the roadway and then stopped again.

"We have to go, they'll be here any minute," I said while walking towards her.

Madison remained very still and her gaze was still fixed on the sky, which was now a light shade of purple.

"You're right, it really is time to go," she said, but still stood still and didn't move a muscle.

I was about to start grabbing her wrist to get out of here as fast as possible, when her next words stopped me.
