A hurt/comfort focused slice of life magical realism romance focusing on a small cast of characters. Hal, Zephyr, Skye and Leander founded the new Dragon Knight Academy on the Flying Islands that react to inner turmoil in people. Between keeping peace with the local dragons, finding candidates for the school to teach inner harmony to, defending their right to research and preserve the unique magic, they also have to find a way how to be there for each other and their dreams at the same time.
A fateful incident leaves Zephyr struggling with lasting damage he can't admit to, Leander with bitterness he can't handle, Skye with consuming fear and Hal with paralysis of doing something wrong. Again. At least the dragons are helpful, when they aren't attacking you out of friendship. Welcome to the club.
